Dr Clare SchofieldDermatologist

Dr Clare Schofield is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD). Clare completed her dermatology training at one of Australia’s largest dermatology departments, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She has consulted for several years in private dermatology clinics in Victoria and Tasmania prior to establishing Melbourne City Dermatology. Dr Schofield joined Kew Dermatology in 2016.

 

Dr Schofield has a particular interest in inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. She also offers cosmetic treatments for solar damage, rosacea, acne scarring, skin laxity and a number of other conditions. Consultations for cosmetic procedures can occur at Kew Dermatology, and the procedures may be booked at Melbourne City Dermatology in Melbourne CBD.

 

Clare is a consultant dermatologist and training supervisor for the college of dermatologists at The Alfred hospital and has enjoyed teaching medical students and trainee dermatologists for a number of years.

Dr Julia RhodesDermatologist
Dr Julia Rhodes is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She undertook her Dermatology training in Victoria, and has worked at hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the Skin and Cancer Foundation. She is a visiting consultant dermatologist at the Alfred Hospital, and is the Secretary of the Victorian Faculty of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

 

Dr Rhodes achieved the joint overall highest mark in Australia in her final dermatology examinations, and was awarded the prestigious Australasian College of Dermatologists Traveling Fellowship Award, as well as the Ken Paver Medal for Medical Dermatology. She was also awarded the Florance Bequest Fellowship, which enabled her to travel to world-renowned dermatology centres in the United States to further her interest in complex medical dermatology, including the Mayo Clinic.

 

Julia is dedicated to her patients and the provision of friendly, personalised and holistic dermatologic care. Her interests include the management of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, excess sweating and skin cancer.

Dr Lena LyDermatologist
Dr Ly completed her medical degree at Melbourne University in 2005 and has over 10 years of experience in the field. She has trained in major Victorian hospitals and also internationally at the renowned St Georges Hospital, London. Dr Ly currently is a consultant dermatologist at Eastern Health, Monash Medical Centre, and the Skin and Cancer Foundation.

 

Prior to her formal training, Dr Ly was Research Fellow under Professor John Kelly at the Victorian Melanoma Service and Professor Ingrid Winship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Adult Genetics Service, researching the epigenetic causes of melanoma. Dr Ly is passionate about evidence based medicine and has published in peer reviewed national and international journals in the field of dermatology.

 

Dr Ly has a wide range of interests including skin cancer diagnosis and management (including surgical and non-surgical treatments), and adult and paediatric skin hair and nail disorders and contact allergy. Dr Ly is committed to providing a holistic and individualised approach in the care of her patients.

Dr Benjamin DanielDermatologist

Dr Benjamin Daniel is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a consultant dermatologist at St Vincentʼs Hospital and the Western Hospital.

 

He did a 2 year pre-dermatology research fellowship in autoimmune blistering diseases alongside his masters of medicine for which he received honours for his thesis. During his dermatology training he has worked at various hospitals in Melbourne including the Alfred Hospital, Victorian Melanoma Service, Peter MacCallum Cancer Hospital, Royal Childrenʼs Hospital as well as the National Skin Centre in Singapore.

 

Dr Daniel has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at both local and international conferences. He has also written book chapters on common skin conditions. He was awarded the Harvey Rotstein Award for academic excellence, collegiality and professionalism through the registrar training. He has a particular interest in eczema, psoriasis, acne, autoimmune blistering diseases, pigment disorders and skin cancer management.

Dr Peter SinclairDermatologist

Dr Peter Sinclair has reduced his clinical work at Kew Dermatology and has limited appointments available for return patients.
