FRACTIONAL CO2

Fractional CO2 laser technology has revolutionised laser treatments. Unlike traditional CO2 lasers, fractional CO2 lasers fire columns of energy into the treatment area. Using the fractionated method ensures the treatment is deep but the healing is fast This fractionated delivery system can be customised for each patient and is safer than traditional CO2 laser treatment.

WHAT SKIN CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED WITH FRACTIONAL CO2?

At Kew Dermatology we treat the following skin conditions with Fractional CO2:

  • Acne scarring
  • Sagging and ageing skin
  • Open pores
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lumps and bumps
  • Sun damage

For some patients we also treat freckling and pigmentation using Fractional CO2.

Before choosing a Physician to perform your laser treatment, it is very important to check if they are qualified in delivering laser procedures.

Fractional Co2 Treatment

WHAT RESULTS CAN YOU EXPECT FROM FRACTIONAL CO2 TREATMENT?

If you have had pigmentation treated with fractionated laser treatment, you will notice results within 7 days of your treatment. Over the next few weeks, a tightening effect will occur.

If you have had acne scarring or wrinkles treated, it can take a few months to see the maximum benefit from your treatment. This is because fractionated laser treatment remodels collagen that can take 3 to 4 months after your treatment.

Rf Radio Frequency Treatment

RF RADIO FREQUENCY TREATMENT (RF)

Over the last two decades, Radiofrequency (RF ) has been widely used as an effective non-surgical skin treatment in aesthetic settings. At Kew Dermatology we use this treatment to prevent and treat ageing and wrinkled skin. We also use RF treatment for early acne scars.

One advantage of using RF technology is that this treatment can be performed at all times of the year and is safe for all skin types, including pigmented skin. Small pulses of energy from tiny needles into the skin are delivered to the treatment area via the hand held RF device. RF treatment is non-ablative and can reach deep into your sub-dermal tissue to stimulate collagen production.

WHAT SKIN CONDITIONS CAN RADIOFREQUENCY (RF) TREAT?

At Kew Dermatology we use RF treatments to:

  • Treat early acne scars
  • Tighten the skin around the neck, eyes and cheeks
  • Improve skin tone

ULTRAFORMER III SKIN TIGHTENING

By living in Australia, the harsh UV exposure means you will be more disposed to damage in the deeper layers of your skin. This damage can lead to sagging and prematurely aged skin. Kew Dermatology offers treatments to reduce ageing and sagging. Our Ultraformer III skin tightening is state-of-the-art treatment that addresses skin laxity and skin ageing, with no downtime. The non-invasive, high frequency ultrasound treatment can lift areas of sagging skin on your face and neck while improving fine lines and wrinkles.

During your Ultraformer treatment at Kew Dermatology, low amounts of Micro-Focused Ultrasound (MFU) energy are delivered deep into your skin, without damaging the surface of the skin. With minimal risk involved and no broken skin, you will be able to wear makeup immediately after your treatment.

The Ultraformer MFU energy creates heat, which stimulates tissue tightening and remodelling. Over the months after your treatment, the increased collagen formation will give you a gradual lifting and tightening effect.

At Kew Dermatology we use the Ultraformer to lift and tighten a number of problem areas, including the lower face, under the chin, and neck. This treatment is also particularly well suited to reducing the wrinkles around your eyes, mouth and cheeks.
