Dr Clare Schofield

Dr Clare SchofieldDermatologist

Dr Clare Schofield is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD). Clare completed her dermatology training at one of Australia’s largest dermatology departments, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She has consulted for several years in private dermatology clinics in Victoria and Tasmania prior to establishing Melbourne City Dermatology. Dr Schofield joined Kew Dermatology in 2016.

Dr Schofield has a particular interest in inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. She also offers cosmetic treatments for solar damage, rosacea, acne scarring, skin laxity and a number of other conditions. Consultations for cosmetic procedures can occur at Kew Dermatology, and the procedures may be booked at Melbourne City Dermatology in Melbourne CBD.

Clare is a consultant dermatologist and training supervisor for the college of dermatologists at The Alfred hospital and has enjoyed teaching medical students and trainee dermatologists for a number of years.

Dr Julia Rhodes

Dr Julia RhodesDermatologist

Dr Julia Rhodes is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She undertook her Dermatology training in Victoria, and has worked at hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the Skin Health Institute. She is a visiting consultant dermatologist at the Alfred Hospital, and is the Secretary of the Victorian Faculty of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Dr Rhodes achieved the joint overall highest mark in Australia in her final dermatology examinations, and was awarded the prestigious Australasian College of Dermatologists Traveling Fellowship Award, as well as the Ken Paver Medal for Medical Dermatology. She was also awarded the Florance Bequest Fellowship, which enabled her to travel to world-renowned dermatology centres in the United States to further her interest in complex medical dermatology, including the Mayo Clinic.

Julia is dedicated to her patients and the provision of friendly, personalised and holistic dermatologic care. Her interests include the management of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, excess sweating and skin cancer.

Dr Lena Ly

Dr Lena LyDermatologist

Dr Ly completed her medical degree at Melbourne University in 2005 and has over 10 years of experience in the field. She has trained in major Victorian hospitals and also internationally at the renowned St Georges Hospital, London. Dr Ly currently is a consultant dermatologist at Eastern Health, Monash Medical Centre, and the Skin Health Institute.

Prior to her formal training, Dr Ly was Research Fellow under Professor John Kelly at the Victorian Melanoma Service and Professor Ingrid Winship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Adult Genetics Service, researching the epigenetic causes of melanoma. Dr Ly is passionate about evidence based medicine and has published in peer reviewed national and international journals in the field of dermatology.

Dr Ly has a wide range of interests including skin cancer diagnosis and management (including surgical and non-surgical treatments), and adult and paediatric skin hair and nail disorders and contact allergy. Dr Ly is committed to providing a holistic and individualised approach in the care of her patients.

Dr Joy Yee – Dermatologist

Dr Joy Yee is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) and consultant dermatologist at The Alfred Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, and The Skin and Cancer Foundation. She received her comprehensive specialist training through the Victorian faculty, working at the majority of Victorian public tertiary hospitals, including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, Austin Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (VCCC).

She graduated with Honours in medical school (M.B.B.S., Hons) from the University of Tasmania, achieving the Dean’s role of excellence and membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society. Prior to specialty training, Joy worked at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a physician trainee and dermatology clinical fellow, running clinical trials in psoriasis.

Joy has wide interests in all adult and paediatric skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, acne, hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), and skin cancers, including surgical treatments. She enjoys working in rural clinics, medical relief work (Cambodia most recently), and teaching at workshops for the wider medical community. She is passionate about providing evidence-based and comprehensive, tailored care to all her patients.
